eRoaming refers to the process by which electric vehicle users can charge across different charging station providers without needing separate contracts. This is made possible through platforms that connect various providers, ensuring unified billing and authentication.

  • To enable this user group, you must verify yourself with our payment service provider, Stripe. More information about this process can be found here.

Create User Group

  • To create the eRoaming user group, go to the User Groups menu and select Create New User Group from the top left.

  • Step 1: Review the necessary conditions for creating the user group and confirm the successful entry of information.

    • Charging capacity & renewable energy: Indicate whether the charging group uses renewable energy.

  • Step 2Give the user group a name (this can be adjusted later).

  • Step 3: The contractually fixed tariff per kWh and the applicable VAT rate cannot be customized for eRoaming.

  • Step 4: Set the availability of eRoaming by defining the times during which you want to offer charging through eRoaming (this can be adjusted later).

  • Step 5Decide whether the user group should be activated for the entire charging infrastructure (this can be adjusted later).

  • Step 6: Set if you want to prioritize eRoaming Users
  • Step 7: Review and confirm the details, and note the requirement to register your charging stations with the German Federal Network Agency (necessary for the public use of charging stations in Germany).
