Here you can learn how to integrate the reev software into a KEBA charging station.

The integration can be done independently in a few simple steps.

Compatible models: KeContact P30 c-series, KeContact P30 x-series

What is necessary in advance so that the integration can take place

  • reev operator set
The operator / CPO (CPO = Charge Point Operator) or contracted service provider must have received the operator set. Here, you will find the necessary onboarding materials, such as QR code sticker, SIM card and activation code
  • Laptop
You will need a laptop to connect to the controller charging infrastructure via a RJ45 data cable
  • An active internet connection via Ethernet or WiFi to connect to the reev backend.

Step-by-step Integration

In the following chapters, the integration process is demonstrated step-by-step. If you have all the necessary utensils from the previous chapter at hand, you can carry out the integration in parallel.

1. Latest version of firmware

The integration test was carried out with the KeContact P30 charging station and firmware version 1.12.1. Please check the charging station for the current software version and update it if necessary.

You can download the latest software version here: https://www.keba.com/de/emobility/service-support/downloads/downloads

  • How can you tell if the station is compliant with the calibration law (ME)?
You can identify the ME version by the product code. The third last digit in the product code should be an “L” if it is an ME version. For example: c-series: KC-P30-EC240422-L0R or x-series KC-P30-ES2400E2-L0R or KC-P30-EC2404E2-L0R.
  • How do I obtain the public key to get signed meter values?
The public key is stored on the station via a sticker with a QR code. This is the only way to retrieve the public key.

2. Access to the KEBA Webinterface

  • To access the KEBA web interface/WebUI, search for a WLAN with the number that is written under “Default SSID” on the sticker. To access the network, the “Default Hotspot Password” must be used.
  • After you are connected to the network, enter the IP address in your browser, which is called “WLAN hotspot IP address”. You should now be in the KEBA web interface.
  • Use the login information on the sticker to log in. If the password does not work, click on “Forgot password” and use the recovery key to create a new password.
  • Further details on the KEBA WebUI can be found in the KEBA configuration manual, Chapter 4 Web Interface. You can download the corresponding KEBA documentation here: https://www.keba.com/en/emobility/service-support/downloads/DownloadsSIM-Karte/Mobile Kommunikation

3. Inserting the SIM card

ATTENTION

Please make sure that you take a photo of the ICCID (20-digit number) of the SIM card beforehand, or write it down so that you can send it to reev.

4. Activate mobile communication

  • In the KEBA WebUI, go to Configuration/Network Connection and activate Mobile Communication.
  • Then enter the APN details: [Enter the APN -> emonvia and the APN user name -> emonviaCS (The password will be entered subsequently by reev)]

  • Assign one of the BE environments to the station
  • Go to Configuration/OCPP in the KEBA WebUI and fill in the fields as follows: Chargepoint Identity:

  • Please note that the Chargepoint Identity must contain the following data: KEBA_COMPANY_NUMBER e.g.. KEBA_REEV_1
  • The Chargepoint Identity must not contain any special characters except the underscore "_" , the manufacturer (KEBA) must be a mandatory part of the identity.
    • OCPP Communication Type: OCPP 1.6 JSON
    • Central System Hostname: ocpp.reev.com
    • Central System Port: 443 • Central System Path: api/ocpp/web-socket
    • Websocket Ping Interval: 300

5. Restart the KEBA charging station

  • for the new settings to become active. Once the restart has taken place, the charging station should be accessible remotely for reev.

INFO

To do so, please send us the ICCID (SIM card) and a photo of the grey/silver sticker with the inscription “Wallbox Configuration Information”. reev will now be able to reach the charging station remotely and complete the setup.

  • In addition, we ask you to submit your data at reev.com/setup, so that your personal Dashboard can be created.
  • In the last step, reev will assign the charging station to your Dashboard/customer account. The charging station is now ready for use and can be operated with the reev software.

Further steps

  • In order to be able to fully use your charging infrastructure, we ask you to open the following links for onboarding:
