Here you can learn how to integrate the reev software into a Hager charging station.
The integration can be done independently in a few simple steps.
Compatible models: XEV1R22T2 (witty share)

What is necessary in advance so that the integration can take place
- reev operator set
The operator / CPO (CPO = Charge Point Operator) or contracted service provider must have received the operator set. Here, you will find the necessary onboarding materials, such as QR code sticker, SIM card and activation code - Laptop
You will need a laptop to connect to the controller charging infrastructure via a RJ45 data cable - An active internet connection
via Ethernet or WiFi to connect to the reev backend.
Step-by-step Integration
In the following chapters, the integration process is demonstrated step-by-step. If you have all the necessary utensils from the previous chapter at hand, you can carry out the integration in parallel.
1. Access the configuration via web server
Using the IP-adress (WLAN-hotspot)
Setting up the WLAN hotspot:
- After switching on the power supply for the charging station for the first time, initialisation ends when the status LED flashes orange. An RFID card is expected.
- This card is used to set up the WLAN hotspot for access to the charging station configuration.
- This process is skipped automatically after 5 minutes or by placing the hand on the front sensor for 10 seconds.
- If the WLAN hotspot is set up, it can be activated later.
- To do this, hold the RFID card in front of the sensor again until the RFID reader indicates that the RFID is stored.
- The charging station switches to WLAN hotspot mode. The status LED flashes blue.
- A WLAN hotspot is created with default SSID hager-evcs-[6last_character_UID] and default password hager[6last_character_UID].
Using the name of the charging infrastructure (HostName)
- The web server can be accessed directly by entering the name of the charging station (HostName) in a web browser of your choice.
- The exact name is specified specifically for each charging station by the UID code, which you will find on the product label or on the configuration label on the side.
- Format of the URL: https://hager-evcs-[6last_character_UID]/.
Example: https://hager-evcs-ab4df5/
2. configuration of the charging station with the reev backend
The configurator is protected by a login and password.
- Login: admin
- Password: 1234
After the first login, you will be prompted to change the password and set a strong password. Defaults:
- at least 8 characters
- at least 1 special character
- at least one character in upper case
- at least one lower case character
- at least one number.
ATTENTION
If the login data is lost or after 10 attempts to enter it, the charging station must be reset to the factory settings (see "Resetting to factory settings").
3. Configuration parameters
Network
- DHCP client: Connection to a DHCP server or assignment of a fixed IP address.
- IP address: Assignment of a fixed IP address.
- Substitute IP address: Definition of an IP address in case of a DHCP error.
OCPP
- OCPP server: Enter the address (URL) of the OCPP server.
-> wss://ocpp.reev.com/api/ocpp/web-socket - ChargePoint ID: Enter the ID of the charging station.
-> HAGER-[6last_character_UID] - Authentication: Select method for authentication at the OCPP server.
-> None - Login: Enter OCPP user name.
-> No entry possible/necessary as no authentication was selected. - Password: Enter OCPP password.
-> No entry possible/necessary as no authentication was selected. - Fallback current: in the event of an OCPP communication error, this current is used by the charging station.
-> Please enter the physically fused value, in amperes, of the back-up fuse.
WiFi Client
- WLAN-SSID: name of the WLAN-Clients (router).
- WLAN-Passwort: password of the WLAN-Clients.
WiFi-Hotspot
- Hotspot WLAN SSID: Name of the WLAN hotspot created by the charging station.
- Hotspot WLAN Password: Password of the WLAN hotspot.
- Hotspot WLAN Card: Add, change or delete a WLAN hotspot card (RFID card).
Hardwareeinstellungen
Setting the maximum current in amperes
- To set the maximum current, enter the desired value in amperes.
- If the setting of the rotary switch (see picture below) on the electronics board differs, the most restrictive value (lowest value) is taken into account.
- Permanent cable lock -> Set slider to active or inactive accordingly to permanently lock the charging cable
SubMetering settings
- Phase rotation: If phase rotation is available, select the corresponding phase rotation (factory setting L1,L2,L3).
Standards and regulations
- Imbalance -> Slider control set to active or inactive accordingly.
- Phase unbalance: To limit the unbalance between phases in a three-phase charging station with a single-phase electric vehicle.
- Imbalance value: Defines the maximum value of unbalance. When this value is reached, the power is reduced when charging the electric vehicle so as not to exceed the value.
Other
- Deactivate intelligent charging: Set the slider to active or inactive accordingly to permanently activate a dynamic charging load if an energy meter with corresponding measurement has been installed.
- Confirm the settings by clicking on the orange "Save" button.
4. Settings
- Change password: The password of the login page can be adjusted here.
- EVCS host name: Here you can change the name of the host in the WiFi network.
- Time management: The system clock time is automatically set via OCPP Heartbeats as soon as the connection to the reev backend is established.
- Reboot Device: Click on the orange button "Reboot" to restart the charging station after the configuration has been completed.
- Factory Reset: All parameters are reset to their initial values, including password and OCPP backend connection.
5. Troubleshooting
Under the menu item "Real-time troubleshooting" you can view and check all relevant information of the charging station and adjust certain parameters under the menu items "Configuration" or "Setting".
