Expanding an existing ABL charging group with additional extender charging stations

To integrate new extender charging stations into your existing ABL charging group and manage them via the reev dashboard, you will need the corresponding licenses for the new charging points. These license keys can be purchased through electrical wholesalers.

For example, if you already have a Pro license for your reev dashboard and want to add an extender charging station with two charging points, you must purchase a Pro license for two additional charging points.

The license keys must be entered into the dashboard within 2 weeks of adding the charging points. Otherwise, the entire charging group will switch to free charging mode, and the access control switch will remain inactive until all required license keys have been added.

Further information on the technical integration of ABL eMH2 and eMH3 charging groups

  • If the newly connected extender charging station uses charging ports 3 and 4 within the group network, it must be connected to the controller charging station via BUS wiring. For ports 5 and 6, 7 and 8, etc., the new extender charging station must be connected to the previous extender charging station.

  • If at least two new extender charging stations are to be integrated, a connection using an LOMK218/CONFCAB cable is required to configure the addressing of the RFID readers, logging gateways (LGW), and the group settings. When only one extender charging station is added, this addressing is usually pre-configured; however, in rare cases, manual addressing may be necessary.

  • To complete the configuration, access to the SBC (Single Board Computer) of the controller charging station is required to finalize the product tree. The reev support team can provide remote assistance once the steps mentioned above are completed.

Through an electrical wholesaler.

Where can I find my license keys?

You will typically receive the license key from your electrician. More information on license keys can be found here.

Where can I purchase license keys if I don’t have them yet?

Through an electrical wholesaler.

Which license key do I need: Compact or Pro?

This depends on your company’s specific use case for the reev software. Information about the features of our licenses can be found here. Please note that all license keys for the charging points within a single dashboard must be the same since your entire dashboard is associated with one licensing plan. Differentiating charging points with different licenses within one dashboard is not possible.

I purchased a reev Compact license key but would like to use reev Pro. What can I do?
You can upgrade here.

Can I add license keys/EVSE IDs at a later time?

Yes, you can. To do this, go to your dashboard home view, click on the charging point to which you want to assign the corresponding license key or EVSE ID, and enter the data in the side menu that opens. Please note that license keys must be added to the dashboard within 2 weeks of adding charging points. Otherwise, the entire charging group will switch to free charging mode, and the access control switch will remain inactive until all license keys are added.
