This article covers the user group "Drivers and Vehicles" and how to set up this user group.

Use Case

  • Recurring users should be invited to charge at the charging infrastructure. You can choose whether to simply track users' consumption in the reev Dashboard for internal processing or to automatically bill users through the reev software.

  • Examples include employees, tenants, pool vehicles, company cars, etc


Create User Group

  • In the "User Groups" menu, click on "Create New User Group" and select the "Drivers and Vehicles" group.


  • Step 1: Give the user group a name (this can be adjusted later)


  • Step 2: Decide whether the user group should be automatically billed or not.


  • Step 3: Define tariff options:
    • For automatic billing: You can charge per kWh, with a monthly base fee, or both. Select the option that suits you and set the tariff.
    • Without automatic billing (optional): You can set a tariff to document all charging sessions for internal processing in your reev Dashboard.


  • Step 4: Determine whether the user group should be activated for the entire charging infrastructure or not.



  • Step 5: Decide if this user group should have priority charging. Note: This feature is only available if you are using the reev Balancer.



  • Step 6: Review the user group details and click "Confirm" to activate the user group on the charging infrastructure.


  • If the user group is not activated for the entire infrastructure, you can specify whether it should be activated for individual charging groups.



  • If you haven't created a payment account yet, you will be prompted to set one up for fully automated billing of charging sessions. After further confirmation, the user group will be created and will appear in the "User Groups" overview.


Configure User Group

Edit User Group Settings

Through the dropdown menu "Edit" the following settings can be modified:

  • Rename the user group
  • Delete the user group (only possible if no charging sessions have taken place through the group)
  • Archive the user group (if it has been used but is no longer needed)
  • View the history of changes to the user group


Box: Charging Stations

  • Gear Icon: Activate or deactivate the user group for individual charging groups at any time
  • The number of charging groups or points where the user group is active is displayed


Box: Tariff

  • Gear Icon: Adjust the tariff (and base fee, if applicable) for the users in the group
  • The current gross tariff of the user group is displayed


Box: Drivers (For User Group with Automatic Billing)

  • Plus Icon: Invite a driver via email to allow them to charge under the group's set conditions. The driver will gain access to the reev App
  • All drivers invited to charge via this user group will be displayed


Box: Drivers & Vehicles (For User Group without Automatic Billing)

  • Plus Icon: Add drivers and/or vehicles to the group to track charging consumption under the group’s set conditions. Assign an RFID charging card to each vehicle.
  • Invite users with or without an email address. The driver will gain access to the reev App.
  • All vehicles charging under this user group will be displayed.
