This article explains what needs to be observed when commissioning a reev Pre-Configured Station and what information can be found in the product materials.

1. Onboarding2. Activation

The electrician commissions the charging station using the step-by-step registration process.

This requires one reev Pre-Configured Set per charging group.

The operator registers the charging infrastructure and activates the software.

A license key must be available for each charging point. These are enclosed with the preconfigured charging station.

The following materials are required to activate a reev Pre-Configured charging station:

  • Electrician-Set
  • Operator-Set
  • License key

The information you will find in the various materials and what to do with them is explained in the respective chapters.

For the Electrician

The electrician set explains the various steps that the electrician must carry out during commissioning. It also contains the operator set, which the electrician must pass on to the operator of the charging infrastructure so that they can complete the commissioning in their reev dashboard.

  • Once the charging infrastructure has been installed, commissioning can be carried out in the digital step-by-step registration. To do this, scan the QR code or go to reev.com/install
  • The following information is required from you in the step-by-step registration:
    • Serial number of the charging station: where you can find this is described here for each manufacturer
    • Activation code: 8-digit number in the electrician set. This is required to merge the information with that of the operator.

The following video shows you how to commission a reev Pre-Configured (or reev ready) charging station in just a few simple steps using our web app.

For the Operator

Using the Operator-Set (grey envelope), the operator can complete the commissioning process and the charging infrastructure becomes visible in their reev dashboard.

If you didn't get the Operator-Set from your electrician, please ask for it or contact the reev support.

  1. The QR code takes you to the commissioning form for the operator. Please enter the printed activation code there. This ensures that the correct charging infrastructure is displayed in your dashboard.
In addition to the activation code from the operator set, you will also be asked for the license key.
  2. Once activation is complete, you can get started and initiate the first charging session with the key fob provided. To do this, store the code of the key fob in your dashboard. You can see how this works here

The license keys

  • In the license key envelope you will find a QR code that will take you to the commissioning form. Please enter the license key printed on a white background together with the activation code from the operator set.
  • Once the registration is complete, you can start charging.

If you didn't get the license keys from your electrician, please ask for it or contact the reev support.

After the three-month trial period, you will receive a renewal notification in your dashboard.
