This article explains how to configure and commission a charging station using the reev Connect Setup-Kit.
1. Configuration | 2. Onboarding | 3. Activation | |||
The electrician configures the charging station so that communication with the reev backend is possible. | The electrician onboards the charging station using the step-by-step registration process (eWizard). This requires one reev Connect setup kit per charging group. | The operator registers the charging infrastructure and activates the software. A license key must be available for each charging point. These are usually purchased by the electrician. |

reev Connect Setup Kit
The setup kit consists of two envelopes, each marked with the number "one". The large yellow envelope contains the slightly smaller white envelope with the operator activation code.
For electricians
The yellow envelope of the reev Connect Setup Kit contains a quick start guide for each step of the commissioning process.
- There is a separate configuration guide for each manufacturer: "reev Connect Set - simply install the reev software". You can find these in our Help Center in the "Information for electricians" section for the respective manufacturer. Scan the QR code to get there.
- Attach the QR codes to the respective charging stations. With the QR codes, users can easily start the charging process. The QR code sticker for the respective charging point can be found in the corresponding license key envelope.
- To complete the startup, the charging pole must be registered in the reev backend. Scan the second printed QR code to access the eWizard (digital step-by-step registration). There it is important to enter the activation code. This is located next to the QR code on the white field.
After all the steps described have been successfully completed, pass the switching device to the operator. Only then can he activate and fully use the charging infrastructure in his reev dashboard.
For the operator
The white envelope contains the operator set. This allows the operator to complete the commissioning process and the charging infrastructure becomes visible in his reev dashboard.
- The QR code leads you to the commissioning form for the operator. There you enter the printed activation code. This ensures that the correct charging infrastructure is mapped in your dashboard. In addition to the operator set activation code, you will also be asked for the license key.
- After completing the activation, you can get started and start the first charging process with the stuck-in key fob. To do this, store the code of the key fob in your dashboard. You can see how this works here
reev Connect license key
The reev Connect license key must be ordered separately from the reev Connect installation kit. You can recognize the reev Connect license key by the yellow envelope with the number "two".
- In the envelope of the license key, as in the control kit, you will find a QR code that leads you to the commissioning form. Enter the license key printed on a white background there together with the activation code from the device kit.
- After the registration is complete, you can start loading.
