This guide provides information on configuring the reev backend on your KEBA Wallbox. We will not cover network configuration or the creation of a charging network in this guide. For further details and instructions on network configuration, please refer to the "Other Helpful Articles" section linked below.

For information on setting up a charging network, we recommend referring to the installation manual or contacting Keba Support.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Step 1: Accessing the KEBA Web Interface

  • By default, you can access the web interface through the WIFI hotspot of the Keba Controller Wallbox (see the video below).
  • If the charging station is already connected to a local network, you can access the web interface using the IP address of the Controller Wallbox.

Step 2: Performing a Firmware Update

If not already done, we recommend updating the firmware of the Keba Controller before configuration. You can download the latest firmware version directly from the manufacturer's website. The "Update" function through the web interface is unfortunately not reliable, so we recommend checking availability manually

Important Note: Firmware version 1.15 can lead to duplicate data records when operating with a backend. To avoid this, we recommend updating to the latest version.

  • Upload the new firmware version under "System -> Software Update". Please follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  • The latest release version currently available is 1.18.x.
  • You cannot skip versions when updating! (For example, if version 1.15 is installed, you must first update to 1.16 and only then proceed to 1.17.x.)

Step 3: Configuring the OCPP Server

  • Before setting up the OCPP server, we recommend configuring the internet connection for the Keba. Instructions can be found in the "Other Helpful Articles" section. If this step is already completed, you can proceed.
  • You can configure the OCPP data under "Configuration -> OCPP." Here, select "OCPP Communication Type" as OCPP 1.6 JSON, and the relevant fields will be displayed.

ATTENTION!
The Chargepoint Identity of the charging station in the OCPP settings must be unique. Therefore, please use the serial number of the charging station as described below.

Chargepoint Identity: KEBA_Seriennummer
(die Seriennummer ist bereits vorausgefüllt, Sie ergänzen bitte nur den Hersteller am Anfang)

OCPP Communication Type: OCPP 1.6 Json

Central System Address: ocpp.reev.com

Central System Port: 443

Central System Path: (wird nicht benötigt)

Secure Central System Connection: ON

Central System Authentication Method: NONE

Reconnect Interval: 30

WebSocket Ping Interval: 300

Predefined Token: 00000000000000

Meter values during charging session: 300

Meter values referenced to clock: 900

Step 4: Checking Connectivity

  • You can check the backend connectivity under "Status -> Backend."
  • It should display wss://ocpp.reev.com:443 with the status "Connected."

If the connection to the backend fails, you can check the following points:

- Network connection
- Internet connection
- Check for typos in the OCPP URL
- Verify the date and system time on the KEBA (Link to the instructions is provided below)

If connectivity is still not established, please create a diagnostic file and send it to us. We will then review it and conduct an initial analysis. (Link to instructions below)
