Here you can find out how to integrate the reev software into a Zaptec charging station.
This integration can be done independently in just a few simple steps

What is needed for integration to take place?

  • reev Operator Set
    Make sure the reev Operator set has arrived at the operator / CPO (CPO = Charge Point Operator) or contracted service provider. Here you will find the necessary onboarding material such as QR code stickers, SIM card and activation code.
  • Laptop
    You will need a laptop to connect to the charging infrastructure control unit via an RJ45 data cable.
  • An active internet connection via Ethernet, WiFi or SIM to connect to the reev backend.


Step-by-Step Integration

The integration process is demonstrated step-by-step in the following chapters. If you have all the necessary utensils from the previous chapter to hand, you can carry out the integration in parallel.


Installation in the Zaptec portal

To connect the Zaptec charging station to the reev backend, the charging station must first be added to the Zaptec portal. Please refer to the following Zaptec instructions.


Connection to the reev backend

1. Select the desired charging station in the Zaptec portal under "Charging stations".




2. In the charging station menu, you must perform the following actions under "Settings":

  1. Check the "Active" box
  2. Change the URL under "OCPP settings" to: wss://ocpp.reev.com



Confirm the settings by clicking "Save".
