In this article, you will find further information on the requirement to register your charging stations at the Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency) in order to offer your charging infrastructure publicly (and thus economically utilize it).

If you wish to offer your charging infrastructure publicly (publicly accessible charging points), according to § 5 (1) and (4) sentence 2 of the Charging Infrastructure Ordinance (LSV), notification to the Bundesnetzagentur is mandatory.

Information on when charging infrastructure is considered publicly accessible can be found in the FAQs of the Bundesnetzagentur under "Public Accessibility" → Definition of "Public Accessibility" according to § 2 No. 5 LSV.

Note: Please be aware that notification must be made no later than two weeks after the charging points are put into operation. Additionally, ensure that you notify each individual charging point. You may need to fill out the form multiple times for this purpose. You can access the form for registering your charging infrastructure with the Bundesnetzagentur via the following link

Further details on the notification process can also be found in the FAQs of the Bundesnetzagentur.
